Root Canal Therapy

Root canal therapy is performed to eliminate root canal infections and ease the pain of toothaches. This treatment also allows patients to salvage as much of their natural teeth as possible, thereby preventing the need for extraction. During the procedure, Dr. Forde removes bacteria and infected pulp from the damaged tooth. Then he replaces the pulp with a filler substances and covers the tooth with a dental crown. Root canal therapy is a relatively painless procedure that helps to return the mouth to optimal health.

Oral Cancer Screening

Oral cancer is a life-threatening condition that can spread rapidly. Fortunately, however, when the disease is caught early, most patients have a good outlook. At each of your biannual appointments, Dr. Forde will conduct a visual scan. He will look for lesions, inflammation, and other signs of oral cancer. Typically, he will order a biopsy if he detects any unusual spots on your soft tissues.
